Ofcourse, it will affect the situation of Indian marriages. After marriages, youth are being encouraged towards their own nuclear family and the joint family culture has vanished off gradually. The love, charm and patience for each other is disappearing in people.

There are many more new trends like - live-in relationship and dating concepts are being introduced in Indian culture due to increasing urbanization and technology. Two individuals claim to know each other but literally they don’t get serious towards their relationship.

With the emergence of westernization in our Indian economy, the real problem is the increasing rate of divorces. Still it is much more in urban areas than the villages. We need to understand that western culture makes us self-dependence but it does not know how to value the others.

There are efforts needed to perform to save marriage retention rates in India. We need to understand that to grow and attain progress depends on making efforts in them. We don’t have to change our values for attaining the progress.
